Venustra

Formed in 2014 in Austin, Texas. Venustra was slowly pieced together out of the likeness of the Horror Punk and Visual Kei movements with an unwavering base of hard rock and alternative metal. A project that also genre bends, incorporating elements of anything from Industrial to ragtime, from Punk to circus music. Along with this comes a dark visual approach inspired by the theatrics of Alice Cooper. The subject matter that Venustra tackles intertwines personal examinations of the human condition with exaggerated storylines that are conveyed with a wide emotional range.
